Intelligent Pressure Ulcer Prevention
Cushion (iPUPc™) is the only existing
seating device which has proven to reduce
all major risk factors of pressure ulcers.
Furthermore, the iPUPc™ has been
demonstrated to reliably decrease low back
pain in office workers. The iPUPc™ cyclically
releases concentrated pressure over the
ischium (buttocks) of wheelchair users
through automatic lowering of the back part
of the seat (BPS). The system detects
elevated contact pressure on the seat-
buttock interface, and adjusts the BPS to
relieve pressure. The cyclic pattern of
pressure release can be easily adjusted by
the user or the caregiver. The iPUPc™ is
modular and can be retrofitted on most
wheelchair models.

Adjustable Lumbar-Pelvic-Throacic Support system is a comprehensive yet flexible body support
system mainly for wheelchair users. It provides optimal, user adjustable, body support through a
lumbo-sacral support unit, 2 pelvic support units, and 2 throacic support units. The support
strength, direction, and time can be easily adjusted by the user or the caregiver. Furthermore,
the ALPTS can be adjusted automatically or manually. The ALPTS is modular and can be
retrofitted on most wheelchair models.
