iPUPc™ is the only existing seating device which has proven to reduce all major risk factors of
pressure ulcers. The iPUPc™ cyclically releases concentrated pressure over the ischia
(buttocks) of wheelchair users through automatic lowering down the back part of the seat (BPS).
The system detects elevated contact pressure on the seat-buttock interface, and adjusts the BPS
to relieve pressure. The cyclic pattern of pressure relief can be easily adjusted by the user or the
caregiver. The iPUPc™ is modular and can be retrofitted on most wheelchair models.
